Colour Temperature is measured using the Kelvin scale. Daylight would be considered to have a colour temperature of about 5500K (Kelvin). Colour temperature can also be called ‘cool’ (on the blue end of the scale) or ‘warm’ (on the red end of the scale).
The colour temperature can refer to either the available light and be measured for accurate exposure or it can refer to the look of the photograph.
