Wide Open


In photography, if you shoot “Wide Open” it means you are using the widest aperture possible (lowest f/stop number). This will let in the most light and give you the least depth of field.  If your lens adjusts from f/2.8 to f/16 and you shoot at f/2.8, then you are shooting wide open.
