Off camera flash is a term used anytime you take your flash and place it away from the camera. Many of today’s flash units allow you to remotely control it and connect the camera to the flash via Radio Frequency (RF) or Infrared Light (IL). Using off camera flash gives you unlimited control over light and shadows while working with artificial light.
