Rule of Thirds

The Rule of Thirds is a guideline in composing your photos.  If you divide your scene into thirds both vertically and horizontally, the rule of thirds suggests that you place your subject long one of those lines. It is a common rule that gives new photographers a place to start when learning about composition, but hold true in many scenes and situations.
