White Balance

White Balance (WB) is a setting on your camera which is used to record the photo in a particular type of light.  You would use “Daylight” WB while outdoors, while you might use “Fluorescent” WB in an office setting.  Having the wrong WB setting can make your colours look very different from what you expect them to naturally look like.

Many cameras have various WB settings as well as an Auto WB which will try to correct the image to the most pleasing colours.
