Bracket

Bracket is a technique to create a series of images taken at incremental exposures.  You might take 5 shots each at 1 stop differences in exposure.  This is done either to work with a tough scene and pick the best exposure later or to combine photos into an HDR (High Dynamic Range) image.

Many cameras have an auto bracketing mode built in, or you can do this manually.

Bracket can also describe a device that holds a camera and flash.
