Bulb is a setting on cameras that will let you keep the shutter open for as long as you hold the shutter release down (or use a cable release). With many cameras having settings for up to 30 seconds, the Bulb setting allows you to lock the shutter for minutes at a time if needed.

The Bulb setting on a camera is sometimes indicated by a “B”.
